Ultra-soft SIGVARIS rest socks, designed for when traveling and perfect for everyday life (for people without venous disease)

Whenever you sit for a long period of time without moving your legs, you increase your risk of thrombosis and other vascular problems. Swollen or sore legs are possible symptoms. TRAVENO socks with degressive compression (higher in the ankle area and lower in the knee area) promote circulation in your legs, applying gentle pressure that reduces edema.

With a soft, innovative fabric and antibacterial treatment, TRAVENO socks prevent unwanted odors and ensure an ideal level of comfort during daily use and when traveling, helping to avoid the feeling of tired, swollen and tingling legs.

Composition : Polyamide (Q-Skin®) (89%), Elastane (Lycra®) (11%). Made in Switzerland.

Economy class syndrome (traveller's thrombosis)

Traveler's thrombosis or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is the formation of a blood clot in a deep vein, usually in the legs. Symptoms include pain, swelling, redness, or a warm sensation in the affected area. Possible complications include pulmonary embolism, as a result of a clot that breaks off and becomes fixed in the lungs, and post-thrombotic syndrome.

The atmospheric pressure in the cabin of commercial aircraft is lower than that on the Earth's surface. This factor in itself does not affect the majority of passengers, but if there are health problems, passengers must take this fact into account.

To prevent the formation of blood clots, avoid standing cross-legged, mobilize your legs and ankles and get up from time to time to walk a little, unless the crew recommends doing so. And drink water to compensate for the dry environment inside the cabin.
